my first blog, and i can’t help but wonder if it will be my only blog.it is 1:30am and this is what i am working on…dear lord. i have a meeting first thing tomorrow, which i am the co-chair of, and i’ll be totally out of it. i went and saw Milca this evening, i worry about her and her daughters. it is overwhelming to think my little involvement could completely change their lives. i’ve got to figure out how to “cheat” the system and get them into school. i’ll bug Benito tomorrow and see if he can pull something off. so involved in the community and yet so distant. now it isn’t even to question the power and privilege that comes with speaking English but the power that comes with Spanish. i am a profesora again and yet i know so little.
